The Pulmonology Department has the ability to treat any condition of the respiratory system. This is achieved through the coordinated operation of the outpatient clinics, the hospitalization of patients and the perioperative monitoring of surgical patients. More specifically, the integrated service provision involves:

At outpatient clinics, patients with chronic and acute respiratory diseases are monitored and treated daily, such as:

Special mention should be made of the interventional lung team of the Clinic. The ENDOS interventional pulmonology team of the St. Luke's Clinic is supported by a team of experienced specialists covering the whole spectrum of diagnostic and interventional pulmonology. The high level of training and specialization of the team members, on the territory of state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment, result in completely personalized, direct and effective patient care. In particular, the services of interventional pneumology are:

• Intrabronchial ultrasound - Transbronchial biopsy EBUS TBNA (Linear & Radial)
• Bronchoscopy with flexible bronchoscope, NBI Bronchoscopy
• Bronchoscopy with a rigid bronchoscope
• Transbronchial cryobiopsy (transbronchial cryobiopsy)
• Endobronchial Cryotherapy
• Thoracoscopy with very small diameter instruments - mini thoracoscopy set (minimally invasive method with minimal complications)
• Pleural fluid drainage guided by transthoracic ultrasound

It should be noted that we are among the few pulmonology groups nationwide that perform Transbronchial Cryobiopsy for the diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis, while in the near future we will start using Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscopy paired with Cone Beam CT, for the detection and diagnosis of difficult to reach peripheral lung tumors.
