Dementia Centre

The term “dementia” refers to a series of symptoms caused by diseases that destroy brain cells. These symptoms are first memory loss, followed by disruption of the rest of the mental functions and a decrease in daily functioning.

The most common type of dementia is Alzheimer's disease (60-80%) followed by vascular dementia, which can occur in patients with arteriosclerotic disease of the vessels of the brain.

If you have noticed disturbances in your memory or in one of your loved ones that affect daily activities, you can contact the Memory Disorders Clinic of the Clinic “AGIOS LOUKAS” which is an Outpatient Clinic of the Neurological Department of the Clinic.

The specialized, multidisciplinary team of the Memory Disorders Clinic of the Clinic “AGIOS LUCAS” is in a position to treat the disease effectively, educating patients and caregivers to live with it and assuring them that they are not alone.

Patient Impressions

“We visited Mrs. Kyriazopoulou for the first time with my mother. First of all it is humane and accessible. Her sweet and caring manner inspired us confidence and comfort during the exam. He took an extensive history with courtesy and respect, and the clinical evaluation was completed with an in-clinic examination. I would highly recommend her as beyond her knowledge, she is a sweet person! It is also important that he accepted us on time.”
